Generalized Anxiety

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is persistent, excessive worry that doesn’t switch off. Unlike normal stress that fades when a situation resolves, GAD keeps running in the background, affecting your sleep, concentration, relationships, and ability to get through daily tasks.

At Breeze Mental Health, we start with a thorough psychiatric evaluation to understand exactly how anxiety is showing up in your life. GAD often presents differently from person to person. Some people experience it primarily as racing thoughts and difficulty sleeping. Others feel it physically through muscle tension, chronic fatigue, headaches, or stomach issues. Because of this, we don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Your treatment plan may include medication management to address the neurological side of anxiety, structured therapy to identify triggers and build practical coping strategies, or a combination of both. The goal is not just symptom reduction but helping you function and feel like yourself again.
